Curriculum St. Theresa's students are challenged to develop academic and physical skills, pursue knowledge, and critically study and analyze the world in which they live. Fundamental skills are emphasized in all grades. Core subjects include religion, math, language arts, science, and social studies. Each student also participates in enrichment classes, including fine arts, Spanish, physical education, library, liturgical music, and computer. St. Theresa's students perform well on nationally normed standardized tests. Consistently, more than 90% of its students have scored above the national average.
School Hours * Prekindergarten 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
* Kindergarten through Fourth Grade 7:55 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
* Fifth Grade through Eigth Grade 7:55 a.m. - 3:20 p.m.
School doors are unlocked from 7:40a.m. until 7:55a.m. and again from 3:20p.m. until 3:30p.m.
Students remaining on campus after 3:30p.m. (1:15 p.m. for prekindergarten) will automatically be placed under the supervision of the Extended School Program until the parent arrives. A fee is charged for this service.
Extended School Program After school care is provided on campus under the supervision and management of school faculty. The program is available on scheduled school days, including early dismissal days, until 5:45p.m. This service is offered on a monthly or drop-in basis. To enroll your student(s), complete the Extended School Registration Form and provide to the school office.
Discipline St. Theresa's School strives to create an atmosphere of Christian charity and respect for all students and faculty. Teachers provide many opportunities for student success in developing good self-image. Positive reinforcement is used at all levels to help students grow in self-discipline and personal responsibility.
Service Program All students participate in age-appropriate community service projects throughout the school year. Students are taught that service is an important part of academic and spiritual life.
