I hope you are all doing well and enjoying this special time at home. I miss seeing all of the STCS students in the hallways, chatting with colleagues, and the quick waves while walking around campus. I must admit, I have enjoyed the slower pace of quarantine, the daily walks around my neighborhood, and the extra time spent at home with Mr. Wentworth and our dogs- Dolly and Reba.
It is hard to imagine that we are currently in our 7th week of eLearning!! When we left our classrooms and gave those last hugs before Spring Break on March 13th, no one could imagine that we would still be distance learning. I am overwhelmed with the amount of pride I have for our students. Our tigers have stepped up and exceeded all of our expectations! I have witnessed all of my students continue to grow while learning at home! I have loved getting to step into your homes via Zoom. I am so thankful for my fellow teachers, we have all walked this difficult road together- constantly sending each other different ideas or providing support after a challenging day. Virtually starting each and every school day in prayer with my third graders has been the highlight of distance learning. This historical experience is something we never envisioned, but it is certainly something we will never forget.
I cannot wait to see you when we return to campus! I miss you and hope you are all happy and healthy!
