CGS is a Montessori-based religious formation program that seeks to create and facilitate a sacred, “hands-on” space
where children can hear, ponder, and celebrate the mysteries of the Christian faith.
ALL ARE INVITED to our CGS programs here at St. Theresa, including children with learning differences.
CGS uses the Montessori method which includes multi-sensory and attention to all learning styles and gifts.
Extra helpers with a heart and open mind to learn are appreciated as well!
Children meet in the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Atrium in Room 102 in Elmer Hall for the following sessions:
Level I (3-6 year olds)
Twice monthly on second and fourth Sundays, 10:15-11:45am
Registration for CGS 2024-25 is closed. Please contact Christine Chow to inquire about a late registration.
Additionally, our STCS students in our Grade 3 and under spend time in the CGS atrium each week with our guide Mrs. Crowley.
Volunteers are needed as Atrium Assistants to assist catechists in the Atrium on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday mornings. If you are interested in volunteering as an Atrium Assistant with a trained catechist, please contact Debbie Crowley at dcrowley@st-theresa.org.
If you are interested in being trained as a CGS Catechist, please contact Christine Chow or Amy Allert.
