REGISTER HERE for CGS!
CGS is a Montessori-based religious formation program that seeks to create and facilitate a sacred, “hands-on” space
where children can hear, ponder, and celebrate the mysteries of the Christian faith.
ALL ARE INVITED to our CGS programs here at St. Theresa, including children with learning differences. CGS uses the Montessori method which includes multi-sensory and attention to all learning styles and gifts. Ideally the Level 2/3 class will be inclusive with a 50/50 split of typical to more significant learning differences. Extra helpers with a heart and open mind to learn are appreciated as well!
Children meet in the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Atrium in Room 102 in Elmer Hall for the following sessions:
Level I (3-6 year olds)
Weekly on Tuesdays, 4:15-5:45PM
OR
Monthly on second Sundays, 10:15-11:45AM
Level II (6-9 year olds, 9-12 year olds, Level III, also welcome)
Monthly on occasional Sundays, 10:15AM-12:15PM
Additionally, our STCS students in Grade 3 and under spend time in the CGS atrium each week with our guide Mrs. Crowley.
To volunteer with CGS as a catechist (must be trained) or as an assistant catechist, contact Christine Chow or Amy Allert.
Here are some of the things on our St. Theresa CGS wish list.
You can also contribute a donation to St. Theresa's Atrium HERE.
Thank you for your interest in raising children in their Catholic Faith.
