This 1952 film is a spoof of the turmoil that afflicted the movie industry in the late 1920s when movies went from silent to sound. When a famous silent movie star can’t sing, a chorus girl is brought in to dub her speaking and singing. Clever, incisive, and funny, “Singin’ in the Rain” is a masterpiece of classical Hollywood musicals. Stars Gene Kelly, Debbie Reynolds, and Donald O’Connor prove delightful with their brilliant dancing and singing. We will serve popcorn and cold drinks. RSVP to: s.leslie9@gmail.com.
