This year, we will be offering A Family of Faith, Volume 4: Prayer as our hybrid home-based/in-person catechesis option.  These books are activity-based to help your child learn in a more fun and engaging way in the home than having a textbook to go through. Next year, we will rotate back to Volume 1: Creed.

Meeting Schedules

In-person meetings are in Elmer Hall on campus, from 4:45pm to 5:45pm on the indicated Wednesdays. Lessons are taught in the home on the alternate weeks.
We split the group into adults, youth, and children the first week of the month; we meet as a community of families the third week of the month.

• The first week of the month, parents meet in-person, while their children will be meeting with peers in a group setting--this way, parents are enabled to focus on their meeting and the children will receive catechesis among their age groups.
• The in-person community meetings will involve you and your children in communion with the other families.
• There are 2 lessons for each month to teach in the home on the weeks we do not meet in-person.  Ample resources and support will be provided for you as you work through lessons in the home.

RESOURCES PROVIDED

Catechism - Each family in this program will need a catechism to reference at times, OR have access to a computer where they can bring up the online version of the Catechism (LINK).

Bible - Each family will need a bible for their home-study activities.  If you do not have a Catholic bible at home, please let us know and the church will provide you with one.  In a pinch, you can also use the USCCB website to access and look up verses in the New American Bible, Revised Edition.

The Activity Book
The Activity Book is designed to help children come to know the Catholic Faith through fun games and activities. The Parent's Guide offers talking points for how to use each activity in the children's book as a teachable moment, leading the child to a deeper relationship with Christ.  Each child will receive their own activity book for the year.
