St. Theresa Fund Last night we had an amazing kickoff to the 2020-2021 St. Theresa Fund! We are so grateful to our hosts, the Earthman family for their wonderful hospitality and incredible support of this critical fundraiser for our beloved St. Theresa's Catholic School. We also thank our ambassador families, Amy & Joe Geraci, Theresa & Daniel Dickinson, and Lauren & AJ Kuen for sharing their personal stories about STCS. It was truly beautiful to how our Catholic school community has enriched their families and their children's lives, of course academically, but most importantly spiritually!
If you were unable to join us lat night through our Facebook Live event, please take the time to watch the 20-minute presentation here and be inspired by these stories and why your support of the St. Theresa Fund can be a great blessing in these challenging times. Our hope is that all our families will participate and every gift no matter the amount is a huge help. Click the link to donate to the St. Theresa Fund. As of the time of writing this newsletter and less than 24-hours since launching the campaign, the St. Theresa Fund has received over $38,000 in donations – we are nearly 1/3 of the way to our goal! Thank you, STCS Families! That's just amazing!
I thank our pastor, Fr. Larry Covington for his unwavering support of our Catholic school and the St. Theresa Fund. Our Dean of Development, Mrs. Andrea Bizzanelli has been nothing short of spectacular in her leadership and organization of this event; and we are most grateful to her for this. I also thank Ms. Katie Grady and Ms. Claire McCarthy for their technical support of the St. Theresa Fund last night. Finally, a special thanks goes out the the Earthman boys, Paul and Matthew for their spot on support of the catering service last night.
Later Arrival or Early Release? Thanks to the many STCS families who answered our survey on this question last week. The survey will remain open for a few more days for those who have not yet had a chance to respond. With this information and a few emails I received on the question, we are considering how to best implement this necessary change to our Wednesdays. No decision has been made at this time. Our schedule remains unchanged.
2nd Quarter In-Person or Remote Learning? Families will receive another one-question survey this week to "lock-in" your selection of either in-person or remote learning for your child. It is absolutely necessary to receive a response from all families for all students. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.
Some Things to Know School Mass Change– It is important to note, although the state now allows a 75% seating capacity in churches, both our school Masses remain below 25% capacity even with the addition of 25-30 students per Mass. Safety for all is our top priority.
Principal Coffees – Another great week with three Principal Coffees! I am truly enjoying this commUNITY time I have with our STSC families.
Can't make the coffee? No worries, Mrs. Bizzanelli is taking notes and providing a summary to grade level families who are unable to attend. Here are the days and dates:
Kindergarten: Monday, 9:00 AM, September 28, 2020
Pre-Kindergarten: Thursday, 9:00 AM, October 1, 2020
A Zoom link will be made available to parents in the grade the day before the event. More Principal Coffees (mornings) and Principal Teas (afternoons) will be scheduled during the school year.
Questions? – Please contact your child's teacher for any classroom related questions. Also, if the need arises to contact the administration, please continue to send us your questions, or concerns to administration@st-theresa.org.
Enrollment remains strong at 340 students!
Thank you all so much for for reading my principal points each week and responding so positively. Have a blessed and beautiful weekend.
