PSIA

The PSIA program encompasses a wide variety of subjects, including academic subjects such as math and science, as well as arts, music, creative writing, and public speaking.  Students that excel at the school level will be able to participate in the District competition, and top finishers there will move on to the State competition in May. 

In 2024, at the PSIA District meet at Regent’s, St. Theresa placed 2nd for Elementary and 3^rd overall, with over 40 kids competing.  Seven students came in 1^st or 2^nd places in their events at District, making them eligible to move on to the State Meet in San Marcos.  There, we had four students finish in the Top 10 – including one 1^st-place finish, one 2^nd-place finish, and one 4^th-place finish.  Go Tigers! 

Our schedule for the 2025-2026 year:

• November 7 – event sign-ups due
• November 18–21, December 2-5, December 9-12 - objective events at St. Theresa (after school)
• January 13-16 - subjective events at St. Theresa 
• February 6* - District meet at Holy Cross in San Antonio (*date and location still tentative)
• May 2 - State meet at Texas State University in San Marco
